Come along to a friendly fly tying session and learn how to tie, improve your skills and meet other anglers in your area who can help show you what to use, where to go and who to go with.

These sessions are perfect for anyone who used to enjoy fishing but stopped for some reason – if you’re confused by all the latest tackle, want to try fly fishing for the first time or just want to brush up on your patterns or find out the latest techniques and tips come along and give it a go. Everyone’s welcome no matter what your skill level, experience or when you last went fishing.

Type of session: Fly tying have-a-go sessions with help on what tackle and flies to use and where to go fishing. If you’ve got specific questions about game fishing or aren’t sure where to go, the friendly session leaders running these classes will be able to give you the confidence to brush-up your skills, dust off your tackle and get back on the banks enjoying your fishing.

Perfect for: Anyone who used to go fishing but has stopped for whatever reason. If you have thought you’d like to start going angling again, but were too busy with work or family, here’s the ideal opportunity to come and get back into angling!

Equipment: The session leader will try to include as much as possible – just make contact in advance to find out what’s included. Feel free to bring your own tying kit if you like. You can also bring along any items of tackle to check they are suitable or get advice.
