About this Event

Learn to fish with the Canal & River Trust’s team of professionally qualified angling coaches. All the bait and equipment is provided, so all you need to do is book in and turn up on the day. These one-hour sessions are designed for adults and for children from six years old upwards who are interested in trying out a potential new hobby.

Covid-19 Guidelines

If you have Covid-19 symptoms, please do not attend. Walk ins will not be accepted. If you can no longer attend, please cancel your ticket via Eventbrite or please get in touch with Canal & River Trust to allow another budding angler a chance to take part. Social distancing measures will be in place and all equipment will be cleaned inbetween sessions. Please see latest Government guidelines here.

Canal & River Trust’s Junior Championships – this year, the Canal & River Trust junior championships will be taking place on the 19th and 20th September…

The Environment Agency part funds this event as part of the National Angling Strategic Services contract awarded to the Angling Trust. This provides more opportunities for people to go fishing and encourage sales of fishing rod licences. Money from fishing licence sales is spent on improving fisheries habitat and angling infrastructure through projects like the Angling Improvement Fund.
