What happens on the day: Undeniably one of England’s most spectacular annual outdoor events. Held at Chatsworth Park in the heart of the Peak District, Derbyshire, attracting visitors from all over the country for a family fun day out. Our Angling Trust Coarse Angling (Let’s Go Family Fishing) sessions are held on the river as part of the Chatsworth Angling Village entertainment. Delivered by some of the most experienced and talented L2 Licensed Angling Coaches from Derbyshire and Yorkshire.

The angling activities on offer are designed to encourage adults, children and young people to discover what angling is all about and take up angling. You’ll find out how to use fishing tackle and bait to catch fish and return them safely. Let’s Go Family Fishing Volunteers overseeing the event will also provide you with more info about your local club or fishery so you know how to go fishing again next time.

Tackle: Tackle, bait or lures and flies will be provided on the day. Just come along – no need to bring anything!

Anything else? Outdoor events are weather dependent so please bring something to keep you dry and/or sunblock and a drink. For events including “game angling” we recommend that you wear a hat and glasses/sunglasses to protect your head and eyes while casting.

Disability information: Volunteers and coaches at “Let’s Go Family Fishing” events are provided with essential best practice guidance on working with and planning events for disabled and mobility impaired people. Please check with the venue contact for specific details of facilities available.
